Barry Sears New Zealand Leadlight
Leadlighting and Stained Glass have been my passion for over 20 years. I first started working with glass as a part-time job whilst still at school. I progressed to full-time following my university studies. One of my main projects was the restoration of New Zealand’s Parliament Buildings in Wellington 1994 to 1996.
I travelled to the United Kingdom in 1996 to work at John Hardman Studios. Whilst there I worked on a project for George Harrison and on the restoration of original William Morris and Edwards Burne-Jones windows. My work also involved the restoration of many cathedral and church windows as well as conservation work on a collection that included windows from the Middle Ages.

Now back at home in New Zealand, I am dedicated to designing and handcrafting personalised stained glass and leadlight domes and windows. Nature coupled with the beauty and extremities of landscape, the flora and fauna inspire my designs.
